Abstract:
In the paper, the problem of recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) monitoring during surgery on the neck organs is considered. The method and tools for RLN identification among tissues of surgical wound are proposed. Compared to existing ones, they contain multifunctional tools for stimulation of surgical wound tissues. In order to increase the sensitivity in the known method of RLN identification, it is proposed to use a set of electro-stimulation tools by: direct current, alternating current with fixed frequency, and also a sequence of rectangular impulses. The proposed method is based on the theory of voice production by Raul Husson.
