Abstract:

The purpose of this paper is to achieve a better ride comfort and a good relative suspension travel within limits using an active suspension. This paper consists of an exponentially variable damper to achieve both above objectives. In fact, it is not possible to achieve both above parameters in a controlled manner simultaneously. The variable damper will help to achieve both the objective in a better way. The skyhook suspension results are analyzed on MATLAB-SIMULINK and compared with passive suspension. The results are validated on hardware.
