Abstract:

Educational Technology plays a vital role in engineering courses. Technology changed from time to time from traditional method of teaching (chalk and Talk) to ICT (Information and Communication Technology) tools supported learning. In this paper, a detailed survey has been made for improving the teaching learning process in the programme of Information Technology (IT) courses by using ICT tools and Active Learning Strategies (ALS) to implement Outcome Based Education (OBE).

I. Introduction

Education Technology is defined as the process of applying science of learning and communication to teaching. The objectives of Education are: teach them to learn through concentration, memory training, communications and mediation, create regular and constant thinking habits, encourage inner strengths and talents, inculcate value systems and ethical behavior through examples, observations and ambience, build knowledge, analysis, applications, make them to be curious, to innovate, to analyze and conduct research-taking good ideas to fruition, make them digital savvy, concern for society, ecology.
