Abstract:

Testing a software product is very much necessary to provide the customers with a quality product. The basic practices of testing involved are repetitive, expensive and wasteful. Along these lines, testing requires time to be adequately used, control the threats that one comes across and to keep a track of the quality metrics One should have the ability to beneficially recognize test circumstances which are apparently going to reveal threats. Combinatorial testing is one such technique which ensures most extreme coverage within the scope of system under test. Several approaches are followed for test generation namely Algebraic approach, Greedy technique, Meta-heuristic technique and AI based techniques. This survey provides an insight into all the techniques in brief followed by some of the real time applications of CTD.
