Abstract:
Power supplies have become the major factor in the deterioration of our electromagnetic environment. This paper aims to investigate, in general terms, the issue of electromagnetic interference (EMI) in switch mode power supplies (SMPS), including basic concepts and categories of EMC. The paper also points out the sources and causes of conducted emission in SMPS and the role of parasitic elements in propagation of EMI.
