Chapter Abstract:

The calculations for the Software Component's Measurements (SCMs) are based on the Software Component's Feature Measurements (SCFMs). The calculations for the SCFMs of the Software Component's Measurable Features (SCMFs) are performed by using the Software Component's Feature Point Counts, the third step in the measurements of the SCMFs. This chapter presents the description and formulae for the SCFMs, the third step, and SCMs. The Software Component 'Functionality Execution' Measurement (CFEM) is divided in two parts: the Functionality Execution Operations Measurement (FEOM) and Functionality Execution Data Manipulation Measurement (FEDM). The first part of the CFEM is the FEOM which takes into account for the measurement all the SCFMs of the functionality execution operations. The second part of the CFEM is the FEDM which takes into account for the measurement all the SCFMs of the functional data handled during the indicated functionality execution operations.
