Abstract:

Quad surface charge is adopted in the charge simulation method (CSM) to simulate the electric field under HV transmission lines in the vicinity of buildings. First, a semi-analytical integration strategy is proposed in the calculation of potential and field strength coefficients. Then, an experiment is designed to testify the method. Finally, the electrostatic field computation effect around an actual steeple roof building between surface and point simulation charge is compared.
