Abstract:
Analytical and numerical procedures are described for the evaluation of the following functions:Extra open brace or missing close brace The contour Γ, for the integrals in the complex t plane, may be taken from ∞e−i2Π/3 along a straight line to 0 and then out along the real axis to + ∞. In addition, ωl(t) = √[Bi(t)]-iAi(t)] and ωl'(t) = √π[Bi'(t)-iAi'(t)] where Ai, Bi, Ai', and Bi' are Airy functions in the standard notation. The real quantities X and x1 and the complex factors q and q1 are the parameters of the problem. The function V', which characterizes the pattern of a loop antenna on the earth's surface, is illustrated graphically for low radio frequencies for a mixed land/sea propagation path.
