Abstract:

This paper presents the framework to solve the problem of blind image de-convolution process in YUV color space. Different techniques had been employed to aspire the problem of blind image de-convolution for regular RGB color images, here we extend the work for the YUV color spaces. Apart from RGB color space, YUV color space consist uncorrelated channels, the Luminous channel has no correlation with the other two Chroma channels. This motivates to propose a weighted 3-D Laplacian operator Q for the YUV color space. The restoration process is performed on the basis of single-input and single-output (SISO) model. Alternating minimization is used to restore both image and the blur jointly. Good performance is observed for photographically blurred images, with no information about the blur operator.
