Abstract:
An active MIMO based sub-millimeter wave imaging system is presented as part of an integrated security scanner developed in the European FP7 project TeraSCREEN. It uses a hybrid approach combining mechanical beam steering in elevation and digital beamforming in azimuth. The system, operating at 360 GHz with 30 GHz bandwidth is supposed to provide high-resolution real-time imaging to enhance throughput and security level.
