Abstract:
A variable tap-length algorithm for signal processing is introduced to solve the random drift problem of fiber optic gyroscope (FOG)'s output signal. In this paper, a variable tap-length least mean square algorithm (LMS) is utilized to find a optimal order in the noise suppression of FOG. Experiments are performed to show the efficiency of the proposed method, which can provide a good performance while remain an acceptable time consuming and calculation cost.
