By discussing the board game (Go) and the recent successful computer system (AlphaGo), associate EIC Jim X. Chen presents an overview of the evolution of computing and hardware efficiency. The emphasis is on sharing information about the evolution of computing, which has a significant impact on artificial intelligence.
