Abstract:

An ultra high-definition television (UHDTV) image has high self-similarity because it contains many similar objects in a single-frame. In addition, typical UHDTV cameras have one-CMOS sensor with a Bayer or other color-sampling pattern. A super-resolution (SR) method using single-frame registration of an original image and its n-level wavelet multi-scale components is therefore proposed. Accuracy of the registration is enhanced by compensating the registration results in consideration of color-sampling patterns of UHDTV cameras.
