Abstract:
The third-order high-pass harmonic filter has been widely used in industry. However, a technically sound design method has not been well established for the filter. This letter presents a complete design method along with simple design formulas. Comparative case studies show that the proposed design method will result in minimal fundamental frequency loss for the filter and a significantly smaller auxiliary filter capacitor.
