Cable Transient in Distributed Generation System

Power cable is one of important elements of distributed generation systems. This chapter introduces some techniques of cable transient analysis for EMTP simulation focusing on a wind farm and a photovoltaic generation system. Some data examples are provided with variations due to the the cable models installed in the EMTP.
