Abstract:

In this paper real time measurements of channel estimation and capacity is done for indoor MIMO-OFDM system using NI PXIe-1075 Tool kit in LabView. Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems is combined with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems to estimate the channel capacity for varying transmitted power and IFFT length. Two National Instruments devices NI-PXIe-5673 and NI-PXIe-5663 are used for the system implementation, for the transmitter and the receiver respectively. Channel estimation is done using least square method and the capacity is calculated. The digital signal processing that formats the information data for transmission is described along with the digital signal processing that recovers the information data. The experimental results for the various transmission parameters and master and slave antenna are tabulated and plotted.
