Abstract:
Two types of antenna topology are proposed to identify a high speed RFID tag. To identify the high speed tag, the time that the tag stays in the reading range of the RFID reader should be longer than backscattering time. Therefore the near-field beam width of the reader antenna was widened along the moving direction of the tag. The first antenna type is an array antenna and the second one is a traveling wave antenna. Measurement results show that both antennas have more wide identification range compared with a single antenna.
