Abstract:
The Xpress transfer protocol, XTP, represents an evolution of protocol design. The author describes XTP features contained in the current revision 3.4 of the XTP protocol specification. XTP demonstrates a number of design techniques for high-performance low-overhead operation, as well as support for multicast, transactions, real-time priority scheduling, and rate control.<>
