Abstract:

In this paper an optimal coordinated tuned UPFC controller has been proposed to enhance the damping of low frequency oscillations in a single machine infinite bus power system. The design of controller is developed as optimization model and it is carried out using a novel Elitist Teaching Learning Opposition based algorithm (ETLOBA).
