Abstract:
This paper investigates user cooperation diversity systems with selection decode-and-forward (DF) relaying over non-identical Nakagami/Nakagami channels in cellular networks. The outage probability and average packet error probability (APEP) are evaluated as a function of a co-channel reuse factor for outage-based symbol relaying, outage-based packet relaying, and cyclic redundancy code based packet relaying. The results of the paper show that outage-based packet relaying outperforms the other systems, and the end-to-end APEP performance is more susceptible to the APEP of the relay-to-destination link than that of the source-to-relay link.
