Abstract:

Satellites that observe our planet, like Remote Sensing and Weather satellites, often travel in LEOs to capture very detailed images of Earth's surface. But LEO satellites are so close to Earth and affected so much by atmosphere and gravity. Satellite's stability and orbit precision influences the application level of LEO earth-observing directly. 3D visual graphic technology for satellite simulation can replace costly and risky real experiments to obtain stable satellite system design, thereby, in this paper, we take our focus on building a three-dimension satellite simulation system, based on theory of satellite orbit dynamics and technology of modern computer 3D visual simulation. In this visual simulation system, we take comprehensive simulation for satellite space environment, ground station, satellite movement and high precision orbit determination with PANDA to aided analysis the LEO satellites for stable system design and high precision orbit.
