Abstract:

A new type of linear motor is introduced which can work under non-resonant condition with a wide frequency range. The friction driving mechanism of motor was investigated and working process of the motor was described as driving process and detachment process. Then complete detachment was defined as no strain between the stator and the slider. Further, the vibration differential equation was deduced and three factors including the exciting frequency and the preload of the motor were produced. Finally, the prototype was fabricated and investigated by experiments. It is proved theoretically and by experiment that the complete detachment can be attained with the exciting frequency exceeding the critical frequency and the amplitude of the piezoelectric stacks above a certain value.
