Abstract:
Automatic transmission typically includes the following four categories: Hydraulic-mechanical Automatic Transmission (AT), Automated Mechanical Transmission (AMT), Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), and Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT). AT has better driving comfort, simple operation, but a lower transmission efficiency, higher fuel consumption. In order to improve the transmission efficiency, in recent years, lock-up clutch are generally adopted in torque converter. However, the introduction of the lock-up clutch increases the vibration of driveline. To balance the contradiction between the vibration and the transmission efficiency, the lock-up clutch should be slipping controlled. This paper explains the principles and methods of lock-up clutch slipping control, using PID control method, modeling and simulating the slipping control process. Simulation results show that the actual slip speed can track the target slip speed very well, which verifies the correctness and validity of the slipping control model.
