Abstract:

The method of torch discharge active resistance determination based on experimental results obtained from investigation of torch discharge in single-conductor line [1] is considered in this paper. The method is based on Neiman equivalent scheme described in [2]. In this scheme UG is discharge ignition voltage, i.e. the voltage when corona discharge transforms to torch discharge. The circuit can be considered like it is shown in fig. 1. Here RD is active resistance, ID - operating current for discharge existence and XC - reactance of capacitor appeared between linear conductor and perfectly conducting plane, which is a screen between the line and the generator.
