Abstract:

China is the largest developing country in the world, and self-supporting and self-sustaining energy supply is the only solution for its development. Recently, fast economic development exposed a gradually increasing pressure of energy demand and environment concern. In order to increase the production of electricity of China, the authors argue that Stirling engine systems should also be developed. This paper provides an investigation of energy production and consumption in China. The main objectives of energy consumption and the development objectives of China's electric power industry are also described. The necessity and possibility of the development of Stirling engine systems are also given.
