Abstract:
Because the cost of medical treatment is increasing, more people are joining the National Health Insurance (NHI) system. NHI was implemented in 1995 and by 2004, 99% of the Taiwanese population received national health insurance benefits. With the ensuing financial crisis, insurance premiums are likely to increase, reducing public satisfaction. This study uses a structure development analysis of NHI to explore system behavior using system dynamics. The results show that public satisfaction can measure policy influence key indicators.
