Abstract:
In automotive embedded networked control system, signal represents parameter and variable, and its data is transmitted by frame in terms of in-vehicle network protocol. It is necessary to minimize the frame number so as to improve system performance. In this paper, the signal framing problem and methods for frame number optimization in automotive embedded networked control system are studied. Based on binpacking heuristic algorithm, FFD-FNO (First Fit Decreasing for Frame Number Optimization) method and BFD-FNO (Best Fit Decreasing for Frame Number Optimization) method are presented. By applying data benchmark producing tool and heuristic algorithm implementation tool, the test results are obtained and the signal framing heuristic algorithm performance for frame number optimization in automotive embedded networked control system is evaluated. Comparing with OSpF (One Signal per Frame), it is concluded that no matter the ECU number and signal load, FFD-FNO and BFD-FNO retain the signal framing efficiency.
