Abstract:

The characteristics and laws of the transient flux in a transformer under various conditions are discussed in terms of the analysis into the features of a transformer after the clearance of its external fault. It is indicated that there is little possibility that the inrush current will be present in the actual power system at this time. The doubts of the past classical saying that the inrush current will be present in a transformer for no-load closing and after the clearance of an external fault are therefore raised.
