Abstract:

The result of a measurement or a computation cannot be complete unless it is accompanied by a quantitative indication of its uncertainty. Therefore, fundamental innumeracy terms and concepts are reviewed, and randomness in tests, experiments, and numerical calculations is summarized in this tutorial.
