Abstract:

A service evolution scenario and a service node design based on the synchronous digital hierarchy (SDH) are described. New local area services that fall between narrowband and broadband ISDN are proposed. A local area service node based on SDH technologies is designed to simplify service signal processing and address control processing.<>
