Abstract:
Recently introduced local position measurement systems are primarily designed for fast and accurate position determination of remote objects by means of small and lightweight transponders. In this paper we introduce an additional telemetry channel, seamlessly integrated in the position measurement system that is capable of delivering 32-bit user data from the transponder within each position measurement cycle. This data can be used for transmitting additionally measured physical quantities or movement data from inertial guidance sensors for more accurate trajectory determination in highly dynamical maneuvering as will be shown in this paper.
