Chapter Abstract:
Summary
This book invites us to tap into that imagination and sense of wonder even more deeply, and shows examples of what we can experience using digital wellbeing for connection, wonder, and joy instead of separation and loneliness. Most of us can agree that wellbeing is a multifaceted concept that encompasses various aspects of an individual's or society's state of being. Some people would assume that digital wellbeing involves recognizing the power of technology and setting limits on our digital lives. Many global indexes and measures address digital wellbeing and integrate it with overall wellbeing, including the Digital Quality of Life Index (DQL), the Digital Wellbeing Index (DWBI), and the Global Digital Health Index (GDHI). Research over the past four decades has demonstrated that mindfulness and wonder practices can reduce stress, unlock creativity, enhance performance, improve health, and increase life satisfaction.
