Abstract:
One-hundred years ago, on 9 April 1925, computer pioneer Heinz Nixdorf was born in Paderborn, Germany. In 1952 he established his first company, subsequently known as Nixdorf Computer AG, whose principal administrative headquarters today house the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum (HNF). Following his unexpected passing in 1986, two foundations assumed responsibility for continuing his work. The HNF is celebrating his legacy with a series of new and innovative exhibition projects on historical and future computer technology. This overview presents a summary of activities in 2024 and a preview of the anniversary year in 2025.
