Abstract:
This study examines the potential applications of blockchain technology for improved supply chain shipment tracking. Supply chain management that is open and safe is becoming more and more important as worries about things like food safety, fake goods, and the environment rise. Better supply chain monitoring may lead to more accountability and transparency; this is made possible by the distributed and unchangeable nature of blockchain technology. This article examines the research on blockchain technology and supply chain management, emphasising the advantages and difficulties of applying this technology in this context. A case study of an operational blockchain-based supply chain monitoring system is also included. The study's findings show how supply chain management may become more effective, transparent, and safe with the use of blockchain technology. All things considered, the article contributes to our understanding of supply chain management and blockchain technology by suggesting directions for further study and specific methods for putting these ideas into reality.
