Abstract:
The integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is a promising technology for sixth generation (6G) networks, aiming to unify sensing and communication systems within a single framework. However, the coexistence of sensing and communication signals, such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and frequency modulated continuous wave (FMCW) signals, presents challenges due to potential interference. We explore whether the sensing and communication signals interfere with each other through a correlation-based analysis. Our findings provide valuable insights into the characteristics of interference in ISAC systems and are expected to significantly contribute to the development of strategies for mitigating interference effects, thereby optimizing sensing and communication performance in future networks.
