Abstract:
There are increasing in sea-going ships the number and power of transmitters, the number and sensitivity of receivers as well as the number of transmitter and receiver antennas. Radio communication and radio navigation equipments concentrated within a small space onboard the ship aggravates their trouble-free operation. A further increase in number of ships throughout the world will cause an increased exchange of radio correspondence, which causes increased inter-modular interferences. The electromagnetic compatibility comprises harmful action of high frequency electromagnetic field upon live boddes, particularly upon the human body. The biologically harmful influence of excessive electromagnetic radiation requires protection of the environment and ship's crew exposed to action of that field when radar and radio transmitters are operating.
