Abstract:
Logistics is a complex system that encompasses the entire process of moving products from the production stage to consumption, including the two-way flow of information throughout the process. The basic elements of this system include procurement, production, storage, transportation, and distribution operations. Distribution operation is the last link in the logistics chain and is responsible for delivering products to the final customer or retail outlets. The subject of this study is to improve the distribution operation process by adding the feature of order recall to the logistics order distribution operation, thus ensuring efficient and effective distribution operation. This study focuses on improving the existing logistics distribution integration process. The goal is to design and develop the necessary process and system to ensure that an order that is moving logistically from the seller to the end customer can be canceled and returned at the request of the owner for a reason, and to improve the process. Currently, in order to return an order that is on its way from the seller to the end customer, the order must be delivered to the end customer at best, and the order must be returned from the delivery stage. It was necessary to create a reverse movement from the end customer to the recipient by invalidating the existing record and creating a new return record. The goal is to eliminate this requirement by designing and developing an order recall method that can be used by the client on the integration web service. The order recall method was designed and developed on the IBM ACE (App Connect Enterprise) platform, which is the integration software development platform where the existing integration web service was designed. The order recall method feeds, updates, and queries the Oracle database for all other methods in the existing integration web service.
