A Measure for Shortening Partial Discharge Test Time of Transformer

As an important part of transforming voltage level, transformer plays an important role in ensuring the stability of power grid. The partial discharge test of transformer is an ideal insulation test project, which is being popularized and applied. All the transformers that can pass the partial discharge test have high reliability in operation. However, the traditional partial discharge test time is too long, mostly more than 40 minutes, so it is necessary to shorten the transformer partial discharge test time and improve the efficiency. In this paper, by combing the partial discharge test process and analyzing the connection steps in depth, the intelligent partial discharge test support device and special clamp are developed. After many applications in the field, the partial discharge test time is obviously shortened, so as to avoid the danger caused by personnel repeated wiring, and greatly improve the work efficiency of electrical testers.
