Abstract:
One of the main applications of transmission line transformers, in addition to being transformers, is in driving antennas as balun circuits (for example in the VHF and UHF bands). This article reports an equivalent model for a transmission line transformer through which the input impedance calculation is performed. Its operation as a balun is also described.
