Abstract:

Animal welfare and effective livestock management are crucial aspects of agricultural sustainability. This study explores the development and implementation of Animo, an IoT-enabled system designed to monitor livestock health in real-time. The project aims to address the limitations of traditional monitoring methods by providing early disease detection and proactive health management solutions. Using the Input Process Output (IPO) methodology, the system integrates sensors for monitoring body temperature, environmental temperature, humidity, and activity levels. Field trials conducted over a specified period validated the system's efficacy in gathering and analyzing crucial health data. Results indicate significant correlations between environmental conditions and animals' physiological responses, underscoring the importance of environmental control for optimal animal welfare. The study concludes with recommendations for expanding the system's capabilities, enhancing collaboration, and furthering its application in promoting sustainable and humane animal management practices.
