Abstract:
In this document, a wide-band transparent microwave absorber is proposed. The proposed absorber consists of two patterned layers and one continuous layer of resistive ITO (Indium Tin Oxide)-coated PET (Ployethylene Teraphthalate) sheets. The design is simple, and hence it offers ease of fabrication. The proposed absorber exhibits more than 95% absorption for 4.13 GHz-25.17 GHz and more than 90% absorption for 3.60 GHz-26.90 GHz, covering C, X, Ku and K bands. The -15 dB bandwidth and -10 dB bandwidth is 143.6% and 152.8% respectively. More than 95% absorption is maintained up to incident angle 30° and more than 90% absorption is maintained up to 45°, for both TE and TM modes. The structure is polarization-insensitive due to its 4-fold symmetry.
