Abstract:
In the context of tewnty first century vocational education, educators are increasingly tasked with mastering the skills of learning media development. Prospective vocational teachers are provided with learning media and ICT literacy courses. This research aims to explore the correlation and impact between academic performance in learning media courses and the subsequent quality, productivity, and variety of the produced learning media of 38 prospective vocational teacher. The study employed a correlational analysis to investigate the relationship between academic grades and the outcomes of the learning media development process. Result showed lack of correlation between academic scores in learning media courses and the quality and quantity of learning media production reveals the intricate challenge of aligning theoretical understanding with practical skills. Academic scores only have an impact on the number of variations in learning media because the focus of the course is to introduce various types of learning media. Reflection is offered to enhance and evaluate the learning media and ICT literacy courses. This research is useful for universities producing vocational teachers as a reference for future curriculum improvements.
