Abstract:

In today's business world, cybersecurity in M&A is a significant problem. There is not much research done in the context of problems associated with the adoption and effectiveness of Business Intelligence systems. M&A and technological innovation are rapidly shifting economic dynamics that have forced companies to reevaluate their approach and use Business intelligence systems, and with that comes the risk of cyber-attacks. This paper explains how M&A can be impacted when there is a failure in cyber security assessment and why the organization faces cyber security beaches during M&A. Analysis of cyber security risk in mergers and acquisition life cycle concerning time. This paper is a stepby-step guide to the key cybersecurity framework of Secure, Vigilant, and Resilient for pre-merger to the post-merger merger of an M&A explained at the subsequent phases. Also, the traditional way for mergers and acquisitions is outdated, and adopting the modern cyber security assessment is mandatory during mergers and acquisitions. This paper covers an action guide for cyber security assessment for mergers and acquisitions. Therefore, business owners must prioritize it because failing to do so will work against the business.
