Abstract:
Currently, the revolutionary impacts of Artificial Intelligence (AI) are structuring whole industries around the world, offering new opportunities for innovation and efficiency. On the other side, beside all the potential benefits AI is bringing, there is also a number of significant ethical, legal, and societal challenges that need to be coped with and properly accommodated during its adoption and deployment. These are effective governance frameworks at mitigation of risks and harnessing maximal positive impacts of AI systems incorporated in different aspects of the operation. This paper explores AI governance in businesses and offers all-inclusive models for responsible adoption and oversight of the technology. The paper reflects a structured approach to handle the multifaceted dimensions of AI governance, based on the academia, industry best practice, and regulatory guidelines. This paper first looks into the ethical considerations around the development and deployment of AI. It emphasizes that due concern of the organization should be on moral accounts, including fairness, openness, responsibility, and privacy of any phases of AI implementation. This trust can be developed between the stakeholders and the corporation through building ethics guidance in the design and implementation of AI processes. The second section of the paper discusses the legal and regulatory landscape surrounding AI in corporations. The article seeks to assess the present legislation and regulation in relation to data protection, algorithmic bias, intellectual property, and liability in the light of the fact that regulatory permissiveness law is convoluted and ambiguous, placing life at risk for many corporations.
