Abstract:

The integration of photovoltaic technology into the industry 4.0 framework is highly important because it effectively transforms solar energy into clean electricity, provides cost savings, improves efficiency, and decreases carbon emissions. This study focuses on achieving effective sizing for a solar park to meet high power consumptions. It is well-known that the key components of any solar park are the solar panels and the inverters. To address this issue, a novel approach that combines the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) method with PVsyst to achieve the optimal sizing of the solar park is introduced. This strategy considers four primary scenarios to ensure optimal sizing. A case study featuring FITOLINA Tunisian Group, which aimed to meet 920.04kW of its energy demand using solar photovoltaic technology, was described to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed approach.
