Abstract:

In order to achieve low-cost and high-efficiency non-contact three-dimensional measurement of object volume, a set of object volume measurement system based on machine vision is developed. Firstly, a system for measuring the volume of the object to be measured is built by calculating the world coordinates of the target point in the image using the spatial geometric relationship between the camera and the line structured light; Secondly, the fast calculation of light plane equation can be realized by the results of the camera calibration and projector calibration; The centerline of fringe is extracted by skeleton thinning method; Then the 3D point cloud of single view is reconstructed; By rotating and splicing the multi view 3D point clouds, the 3D surface of the object to be measured is reconstructed, and the volume of the object is finally obtained. The experimental results show that the system can effectively and accurately measure the volume of objects with high accuracy.
