Abstract:
Hot rolling process is the key process of steel production. Due to the characteristics of high temperature, continuity, high real-time and uncertainty of the process, it is very difficult to schedule the production process of hot rolling. The traditional methods based on mathematical models and algorithm can not meet the actual production needs. Digital twin technology provides a new technology for the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries to intelligent manufacturing. In this paper, the architecture, digital twin models, numerical simulation analysis and data interface of digital twin system are proposed for hot rolling process of steel products. The digital twin system was implemented by using augmented reality (AR) technology and Unity 3D to improve the immersion and information perception. Based on the background of a Chinese hot rolling production line, the function of digital twin system is verified. The experimental results show that the visual modeling technology based on augmented reality is feasible and the digital twin system is correct and reliable. The architecture scheme and implementation technology of the digital twin system have good research significance and application value.
