Abstract:

This study presents an innovative approach to enhance power system efficiency by integrating Static Var Compensator (SVC) devices. Leveraging Adaptive Acceleration Coefficients in Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithms, specifically Autonomous Particles Groups (APG-PSO) and Nonlinear Dynamic Acceleration Coefficients (NDAC-PSO), the research focuses on optimizing power flow and reducing fuel costs. The IEEE 30-bus system serves as the testing platform, and the results are compared with existing literature benchmarks. The study is implemented using MATPOWER in the MATLAB application, showcasing the practicality and effectiveness of the proposed methodology in achieving improved power system performance.
