Abstract:
The study of plant phenotype based on 3D point cloud technology not only improves the accuracy of describing plant morphology and growth status, but also provides new perspectives and tools for agricultural research. With the increasingly widespread application of 3D point cloud technology in plant phenotype research, it is necessary to conduct a systematic review of its research. This not only summarizes existing technologies and methods, but also provides guidance and reference for future research. This study comprehensively analyzed 3D point cloud data acquisition technology, 3D point cloud data preprocessing technology, target point cloud segmentation technology, and plant phenotype parameter extraction methods, and explored current technological challenges and future development directions, in order to deepen the understanding of the application of 3D point cloud technology in plant phenotype research and provide valuable information and insights for agricultural researchers and practitioners.
