Chapter Abstract:

Summary

Novel innovations including predictive analytics and precision agriculture are revolutionizing the agricultural sector. Although predictive analytics includes application to machine learning procedures to forecast future crop profits and optimize resource allocation, precision agriculture includes cutting‐edge sensors, GPS mapping, and data analytics to optimize crop management practices. The convergence of these advancements has an opportunity to revolutionize agricultural practices by providing farmers with timely access to information that informs their choices on seeding, fertilization, and harvesting. Farmers can more effectively and efficiently manage their crops by adjusting their crop management procedures to the unique requirements of each field by analysing data from sensors that assess soil moisture, fertilizer levels, and weather patterns. Additionally, farmers can more accurately forecast future crop yields thanks to predictive analytics, allowing them to alter their resource allocation accordingly. Farmers can maximize their use of water, fertilizer, and other resources by projecting yields based on historical data and present conditions, which lowers costs and boosts profitability. Consequently, the combination of Precision Agriculture and Predictive Analytics has the ability to revolutionize the agricultural sector by supplying farmers access to current information and conclusions that enable people to make educated choices about crop management strategies. Also, as these advances in technology develop, it will become more crucial in increasing agricultural productivity and production as well as in finding sustainable solutions tothe world's food shortage.
